To say that 2020 has been a challenging year for most of the world is an understatement. So many have been struggling and faced challenges they never deemed possible. While I've witnessed the struggles of many, I've been beyond fortunate to personally and professionally have had the opposite experience. As a small business owner and person of color, I realize how blessed I am. It is in the spirit of gratitude that I share with you the nonprofit organizations nearest and dearest to my heart. I am excited to share the list of nonprofits that BYCHARI has partnered with to help bring change to areas where it is needed most. Thank you for supporting us so we can support others.

Breonna Taylor was an award-winning EMT and model citizen. She loved her family and community, working at two hospitals as an essential worker during the pandemic. In March 2020, Breonna was murdered by Louisville Police Department when they performed an illegal, unannounced drug raid on her home.

We need your help: join us in calling on important decision-makers to hold these officers accountable for the murder of George Floyd.

Geogre Floyd was a peace activist and respected community leader. He was far from his home in Houston when he was murdered in broad daylight by Minneapolis police.

Ahmaud Arbery was a young Black man who was barbarically shot and killed by Gregory and Travis McMichael, two white men, who told police they believed Ahmaud fit the profille of a suspect.

But the truth is: Ahmaud’s murder was an act of hatred and white supremacy. #JusticeforAhmaud

We live in an ever-changing world, and it is no secret being able to code is becoming more and more crucial in our daily lives. Sadly, women are still very underrepresented in the STEM industry, with only 11% of coders being female.

To reverse the gender gap in the STEM industry, we’ve thus designed a systemic change inspired strategy, which includes a safe space for girls to code, a fun video game-based curriculum, as well as a long term mentoring program!
